What are Career Pathways?

Career pathways are groups of occupations that can be grouped within a larger cluster of industries of job types. Occupations within a pathway share common education, skills, experience, and interests.

Each career pathway includes entry-level jobs through senior positions and responsibilities. You may choose to work within a pathway - within a given occupation - for a temporary period. Or you may choose to spend your entire career working within a pathway.

What can I discover?

For each pathway shown you can learn:

  • What educational requirements must be met

  • What skillsets are required

  • What certifications are required or recommended

  • Opportunities for scholarships, internships, apprenticeships, and financial aid

  • How much you can earn over time

  • Where you can learn more
